The Scout Association offers everyday adventure and activity to almost 400,000 young people across the UK. In St Helens, hundreds of boys and girls from age 6 to 18 enjoy the challenge of Scouting every week.
Scouting promotes the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential. In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are ‘learning by doing,’ when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.
The Cub Section is 100 years old this year and more and more young people want to join Scouting in St Helens, but as many of our groups are full, the only way they can welcome more youngsters, is if more adults become leaders or helpers.
If you like what you see in this site and would like to work with our young people, call the number below for an informal chat, and tell us what you can offer.
It doesn’t matter if you have never been in Scouting before –
we will provide all the support and training you need.
